In Umbria, from 19th October to 17th November 2024, the 27th edition of Frantoi Aperti will be held, a great festival celebrating freshly pressed extra virgin olive oil. It will be held in participating Umbrian oil mills, which are increasingly becoming welcoming places, where you can experience the knowledge of this precious product, in small towns, villages with a high olive-growing vocation and cities of art immersed in the olive tree landscape, where you can participate in events that also taste freshly pressed extra virgin olive oil.

Five weekends of nature, art, food and music. Many initiatives for adults and children to participate in.

The opening event will be, on Saturday 19th October 2024, ‘La Grande Pedalata Lungo la Fascia Olivata dei Colli Assisi – Spoleto’ (The Great Bicycle Ride along the olive-growing hills of Assisi – Spoleto ), and in the places of the UNESCO serial site ‘The Lombards in Italy: the places of power’ (568-774 A.D.), a bicycle itinerary, an oil-tourism experience that combines the beauty of nature, landscape, food and wine, art and the appreciation of the places where extra virgin olive oil is produced.

New this year is the Evo&Art Experience, a shuttle bus tour with a tourist guide to discover some of Umbria’s PDO sub-zones and its biodiverse terroir, as well as oil mills and the UNESCO site ”The Lombards in Italy: the places of power’ located at Campello sul Clitunno and Spoleto (Pg). Umbria, The Green Heart of Italy.
